The Infinisea Creations Reunion / Fund raiser was wonderful way for friends of hair and beauty who have been associated with Ken and Rosemary Currie on their journey through life and business over the last 40 years to reflect on their many blessings. The sumptuous afternoon tea was served in the elegant new ”Great Room’ at The Langham – Auckland gave everyone a chance to reunite and reflect on the changes within the industry and how wonderful their friendships have been…all rather like a tapestry interwoven with so many golden threads of success. L’Oréal professional who were suppliers to Rosemary’s salon for 22 years and Chuan Spa gave a motivating insight on their global vision for the future of hair, beauty and spa. A silent auction with fabulous prizes donated by Chuan Spa, L’Oréal and Thalgo assisted to raise funds which were presented to Yvonne Brownlie, CEO of ”Look Good Feel Better” a charity working for woman with cancer. Ken and Rosemary thank God for blessing this event and their friends who gave donations for this memorable day.
The Triple Challenge Competition was as spectacular as we have come to expect. The challengers, comprising of a nail technician, makeup artist and hairdresser worked thier teams magic to create a character from a glamourous movie or musical theartre. The categories of nail art, make-up and hair. could be achieved by one person, or a team member concerntraiting on one aspect. The entrants were of a very high standard and the judges did not have an enviable job
The 2009 NZ Beauty Expo, held at the Auckland Showgrounds on August 15th and 16th was a great time to be indoors with fellow enthusiasts and friends, especially with the inclement weather. The exhibitors had a great time showing off thier latest new products and techniques for the owners and therapists looking for the latest innovations in thier salons and spas.
March the 26th 2009, saw Mercy Hospice launched their Wall of Remembrance on a lovely sunny late afternoon, early evening. Geusts and some patients were treated to a speacial treat. The Prime Minister, Mr John key had some quiet time with each of four patients before joining the guests in the courtyard where he opened the Wall of Remembrance. After the unveiling the Prime Minister mingled with the guests to their great delight, before departing for another engagement. The guests partied on enjoying a selection of beverages and finger food.
On March23rd 2009, Infinisea hosted their National Conference and Award presintations. With a very special international guest Dorothèe, from Thalgo’s head office in France, who presented Rosemary and Ken with the ”Thalgo Distributors Award” for 20 years loyal service to Thalgo. All the guests had a wonderful day in the Arawa Ballroom of The Langham Hotel, listening to speakers on a various subjects and enjoying sumptuous food served during the day.
